THE NORBURY THEATRE – REBURBISHMENT

The Norbury Theatre’s 50th Anniversary is fast approaching and in the run up to the celebratory year in 2013, plans on a refurbishment of the auditorium are under way. So far, the Norbury Theatre has new stage flooring which was installed back in March and was much needed as after 15 years, the old floor was deteriorating. Plans for the improvement of the auditorium will include a complete refurbishment of seating, redecoration, and new carpeting.

The Norbury Theatre has already raised most of the funding needed for the project, however your help would be much appreciated in order to complete the plans!

If you would like to sponsor a seat or make a donation towards the programme,
contact the Norbury Theatre on 01905 770154 for a donation form. All donations will be very much appreciated!

Interested in being part of a creative film project?
Want to see your film on the big screen?

Creative Alliance and Mediabox are working alongside a group of Apprentices to bring you the opportunity to explore the concept of misunderstanding or misrepresentation by identifying the different perspectives of how young people are viewed in today’s society.

This is a chance for young people to have their views heard while being involved in a series of workshops enhancing their skills of film production, delivered by creative professionals. The idea is allowing the young people to develop their ideas and experiences into film.

You will also learn how to create your own film which will be screened at the Electric Cinema and seen by hundreds in Birmingham.

Are you aged between 14-19 years of age? Living in the West Midlands?
Interested in film and film production? And are able to commit to 2 days a week for 2 months?

If this has sparked an interest, and you fit the above criteria then please
contact Daniel or Kristina on 0121 224 7308 or email daniel@creativealliance.org.uk
