The Technical Officer (Licensing|) presented her reasons for the revocation of this licence.

 

It was proposed by Councillor M C J Barratt, seconded by Councillor A L Dyke, and

 

Resolved

 

That in accordance with the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, Section 60 (1) (c), the private hire vehicle licence P345 be revoked because the vehicle is no longer operating in the Wychavon District area and does not have the benefit of an operators licence within that area.

Exclusion of the Public and the Press.

The Sub-Committee is asked to consider passing the following Resolution.

 

Resolved

 

That, in accordance with the provisions of Section 100A(4) of the Local

Government Act 1972, the public and the press be excluded from the meeting

during the consideration of confidential information given in relation to

consideration of the following application on the grounds that it involves the

likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 2 of Part 1 of

Schedule 12A to the Act and the public interest in withholding the information

outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information to the public.

Resolved

 

That, in accordance with the provisions of Section 100A(4) of the Local

Government Act 1972, the public and the press be excluded from the meeting during the consideration of confidential information given in relation to consideration of the following application on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act and the public interest in withholding the information outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information to the public.

Application for Private Hire Vehicle Driver's Licence. Mr M L Pardoe.

The Sub Committee is asked to consider this application.

The Technical Officer Licensing presented the report.  She circulated to members additional material relevant to the application.

 

Members considered the applicant’s submission together with contributions from his father.

 

It was proposed by Councillor A L Dyke, seconded by Councillor Mrs W J Carter, and

 

Resolved

 

That having regard to Section 51(1) (a) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1976, the Sub Committee do not consider the applicant to be a fit and proper person to continue with his application for the grant of a Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence, and hereby prohibit him with immediate effect from making another application until 1 January 2012.

 

(In making the above decision, the applicant was reminded that any new application must include relevant convictions imposed on him)
